Choose when Paperman runs
Paperman can run all day, or switch itself on and off at the times that suit you. Everything here is in Settings → Protection.
Pick a schedule
With the Paperman Effect switched on, choose one of these:
- All day: Paperman is always on. This is the default.
- Evening only: Paperman runs from your Evening time until your Daytime time, as set in Circadian Rhythm.
- Custom: pick your own From and To times. Overnight hours, like 22:00 to 06:00, work too.
Outside your schedule, Paperman stays out of the way, and it comes back on its own when your hours start again.
Start Paperman when you log in
Switch on Launch on startup, and Paperman opens automatically when you log in. It’s on by default.
Paperman also shows up in System Settings → General → Login Items & Extensions, under Open at Login. The Mac App Store version doesn’t have this switch, so manage it from System Settings instead.
Save battery
Switch on Turn off Paperman on battery, then choose when:
- Always: whenever you’re unplugged.
- Below 50% or Below 30%: only once your battery drops that low.
Paperman switches back on when you plug in again.
